In the 1970s, William Hinks began his furniture industry journey with Unclaimed Freight Furniture. His ambition to expand the range of styles and budgets then led him to open the first Furniture Mart store in 1998. This store quickly gained popularity in the Dakotas and Minnesota and took the opportunity to partner with Ashley, becoming one of their largest licensees in the US. This, along with the partnership with Carpet One in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, paved the way for the birth of Furniture Mart USA. This company now serves six states, striving to create the best home designs for customers.
