In 2006, West Houston saw the dawn of a revolutionary antiques and interiors store: MAI | Memorial Antiques & Interiors. This shop was open to both the public and trade, providing high-quality European and American antiques from around 30 dealers renowned for their rare finds. People soon heard about this store that put as much emphasis on design and display as it did on its inventory, resulting in striking “magazine-ready vignettes”. Customers visited often to take in the atmosphere and find inspiration; many have said that they come back time and again because “There’s always something new to see at MAI.”
Particularly praised are MAI’s motivational window displays. The first facility on I-10 had five enormous windows that were visible to anybody traveling by.
